Bought these binoculars recently for my camping trips. Solid feel, sharp focus, waterproof, nitrogen filled, and half price at the moment -

Nice.......................................................did you get them for free?

Lowest price used to be less than $40

Consider me a snob but good optics could not cost less than $200-300.

Price is not an indication of quality, and especially if porro prism binoculars are acceptable, there are many fine compact choices less than $200. Today's modern coatings can add a lot to lower priced optics.

That said, these roof prism binoculars seem to be of average quality (at best), and have been available for $39 - $60 for ages.

Rather than pulling the trigger on this deal, I'd recommend looking into a porro prism pair from Nikon or Pentax , which I have had good experiences with in the past.
