Sounds like all http://www.gutenberg.org/ titles you could get for free. Smart marketing move though.

Books are public domain, Calibre's free, miniscule USB drive's worth a couple bucks - oh so very cute, but not at all hot.

It's worth posting here, though, that Amazon has a lot of the classics for free on Kindle in case someone's new to the site and didn't know that yet. Same stuff you can get on Gutenberg, but formatted for Kindle.

For those of you whose schools shortchanged them on the classics because the English department got into trendier stuff, now's your chance to find out what you missed!

Tremendous waste of money, much like the TV/Radio USB sticks that are nothing more than a compilation of out-dated links.

I think that if you don't have the patience and limited ambition it takes to find these independently and convert them to a Kindle-ready format, there's little chance you'll have the patience and ambition it takes to read them.

But no red for OP, I'm sure someone will appreciate this--even though I doubt most of them will actually ever read more than a page or two.
