Just a note that this is the prior model version...does not have 802.11ac.

This base station does not play nice in our mostly PC household.
We abandoned this base station and Airport express after a frustrating 2 years of repeated malfunctions.

I bought one of these a year ago on a BB open box deal for $99, and it's worked perfectly. Good dual-band router, much better than my Netgear WNDR3700 was, especially on 5 GHz.

The range is not as good as the new Airport Extreme for wireless N. If you have a house, you will need the new one. If you are looking forward for saving money, get the ASUS 802.11ac router. Another thing I did not like about Apple is you have to configure with Apple product. I ended up selling all my Apple Products and moved to Nexus. Not sure how I can configure it.

Good deal Green for you OP

Anybody know if the 'air disk' feature (connecting external hard drive to USB port) supports Time Machine?
Thanks.

I had this before I upgraded to the the newest version of the Airport. I had it hooked up to PC's and Macs in my household. No Problem whatsoever. It's pretty reliable and easy to set up.
