Recording Secrets Revealed
Learn to get Killer Sounds and Recordings like a Pro!

In the DIY market there is a wealth of knowledge out there on mixing that claim they are giving away their secrets, which they are, but it's polishing an already great sounding recording. Not a lot of information on how to get that initial sound. There are many Recording & Music Schools out there that are teaching a very minimal and safe way of doing music production and techniques, but charging a bundle.

Not all schools are robbing people blind, but there are those who have a wealth of gear, but not a wealth of knowledge. A microphone plugged straight into Pro Tools and recorded as loud as possible, while letting the mixer figure out the rest is not the way professional records are made.

Why does this happen?
Whether it is intentional or not remains to be seen. It's a way of giving you the recipe without showing you how to find and prepare the ingredients.

What is the result?
Most independent records that come out end up sounding thin and weak. The mixes sound over processed to compensate for a lackluster recording. Worst of all the artist is not being well represented of there art.

Where do we go from here?
Most worthwhile studios are closed or are closing up. There are fewer chances to have internships or apprentice under a true engineer/producer. There are some producers that still cover their settings with black curtains so you don't see what they are doing with their signal chain.

This eBook series shows what's behind the curtain and helps you get the most out of your recordings.
