Techron is really good and can work miracles, but it probably shouldn't always be used every 3,000 miles because it slightly dilutes the engine oil, and a slight amount of carbon buildup in the combustion chamber may actually be good for the engine, by acting as a heat insulator. Also gasoline sold in the last 10 years keeps engines cleaner than gas from the 1990s.

Costco sells 6 x 16 oz bottles for $19.99 but it says it should be used every 1000 miles.

Advance will ship it to you. You can't use a coupon on this low price. I have an advance up the road but unless I need it asap for a vehicle I let them ship everything to me. I usually go through ebates too.

I used to run this stuff, but switched over to Lucas. Much better IMHO and better deal in gallon form.
Does it really work ? I used to use it every couple thousand miles. Did not notice much of a difference. Two days back, I got fuel cleaner service ($15) done on my elantra at the dealer. And I notice a difference - it could be me ! Its time for me to replace the spark plugs which should really make a difference.
