I needed another 4AH craftsman battery for my cordless tools and came across this deal.  Honestly, the deal depends on your SYWR offers, and you might get it for a bit more or a bit less.  In my cart (before checkout) it showed $67.99 cost + $62.79 back in points.  I checked out and applied $10 in "surprise" points for $61.47 out of pocket and $56.09 back in points.  Not sure why the points didn't exactly add up to the $10 off, but still I'm happy with it.  Cut and pasted the "offers" that show up for me below.  Sears is normally over-pricing these at nearly $90 each and it isn't worth it at that price to me.

I'm getting $49 back in points. Pretty decent price (or potential price) still if you are tied to this line of batteries.

You can earn on this product:
48,995 points
So looks like your getting 50% off points amount with the 99.99 price maybe?
Offer 4: Members get 50% Back in Points on a Portable Power Tool Battery purchase. Sold by Sears Offer ends Wednesday, July 6th
Not seeing the $58 sywr points at all = if saw that would be ok ( this is due to the known - not all sywr members are treated the same)

Me too, I might've even made money on this deal...

Now I just need to find a cheap device that can use this battery, any suggestions?

EDIT: on the receipt it says:

SYW Points
31,411 Points earned on this order

However, on the product page it says:

Earn $58.99 in points to use later

Should I be concerned?

Note this deal applies to other tool batteries too, not just this particular one.
For example, the Craftsman Bolt-On 20 Volt Max Lithium Ion Battery for $44.99, with $27.49 in SYWR points back.
Imo that battery looks identical to the Black & Decker 20V Lithium Ion Battery, except for paint scheme..?

I was just going to post that it works on other batteries.  i have the older 19.2 volt batteries, and one no longer holds a charge.

So I just ordered a twin pack of them for &69.99, with the promise of $60.69 in points to use later!

My order, when completed, showed $63.50 in points were awarded... even better!

Just remember, the points post in 24 hours, and are only good for 14 days.  I'll pick my items up tomorrow, so that I can take advatange of the clearance sales in store (extra 50% off).

Thanks OP!

Thanks OP.

I got the non-high capacity version of the battery with a charger for $65 OOP (after surprise points and tax) - $53back in points, so I will pay about $12.

HERE is the battery/charger combo I got

Hopefully this battery is compatible with my older Craftsman 19.2V EX tools.  My understanding is that the new charger will charge Li-ion and NiCad batteries, but my old charger will not charge the Li-ion.

Double-pack of regular C3 batteries for for $64.99 with $47.49 back in points is a great deal, too.

Works on various other brands of batteries as well.  I just picked up a 2-pk Dewalt for $99.99 with $64.99 SYWR points back.  I had some Surprise Points to use but using them reduced my SYWR points back.  Still, can't beat the price for 2 18v XRP Dewalt batteries for my set of old tools.

Check your accounts.

I got about 10,000 points less than what I was supposed to get.

I'm not sure why I keep playing this SYWR game, they seem to fruck up just about every order I ever do with them and then I have to waste time calling/emailing.

Was anyone able to do this multiple times? I got my points with the first order (for a high-capacity), but then I used those points on my second order (for a twin-pack of normal-capacity ones) and I only got like $12.50 back in points. The 50% did not work. I called SYWR and they said it only applies to out of pocket spend. That's for crap, because it doesn't say that in the promo details. They said it says so in the original membership agreement. Yeah, the thing I read probably 7 years ago (who am I kidding, didn't read it then either). So much for that.

Check your account today. My $10 showed up today. Points are only good this week.

The 50% was only good for 1 per member. I always order online, and check the rewards points before purchase.
