Rocket League has been pretty cheap on steam lately. Here is a good price if you missed out on the last sale.

Grey Market retailer - Buyer beware.

This website is not authorized to sell Steam keys, and only operate because Valve refuses to screw over their legitimate customers by region-locking the keys or mass deactivating compromised keys (as Ubisoft did with huge blow-back from G2A customers, later reversing and eating large losses). If you buy from the grey market, you're not a legitimate customer, so do not expect Steam support if the key you purchased is stolen or invalid.

I keep posting this here: these websites are not the same as a legitimate retailer such as Amazon, Newegg, a B&M store like WalMart, or Steam itself. The price is cheaper for a reason (skirting legality and consumer risk).

Yes, there is risk, but it's VERY low. I didn't read them all, but most of the replies on Reddit were from satisfied cdkeys customers.

A lot of these keys are international keys that are purchased in bulk when on sale at low prices and then resold for a small profit. But, for sure, DO NOT buy a foreign key!

From the first post (I agree with this 100%):
"You can have your key revoked, and in some cases you could have your Steam account banned by Valve if you are buying foreign keys and changing your location to a country where the keys are cheaper."

"How high is the risk?

Not high. People buy from them all the time and never have a problem, but the risk IS STILL THERE. You can opt in to pay for buyer protection that will give you a refund if your key gets revoked, but there have been issues in the past where the sites do not back their buyer protection policy."

Always pay with paypal!

  • One could also say your risk of getting caught downloading via online piracy is also very low.  It's super safe, until it's not.
  • Not sure what you mean by not buying a foreign key.  The Grey Market's majority business model is buying keys in a cheap region, and reselling them in a more expensive region.  AKA - foreign keys.
  • Any merchant who asks you to pay extra for "buyer protection" should be an immediate red flag:  Protection Racket.

This game is only $20, and it's constantly on sale or free with promotions.  Don't feed the trolls, just get it legitimately.
