Print 4 cpns if needed but my cashiers usually just scan one cpn four times YMMV
Rebate :
Purchase a Hammermill 8.5 x 11 Inch CopyPlus Paper Ream (SKU 122408) at Staples stores between 07/31/16 and 08/06/16, then submit online or mail it in to receive a Visa Prepaid card. Limit 4 rebates per name/address/household.

We should take a ride on memory lane on how about 6 - 8 months ago all the Staples insiders were swearing that they heard from their credible sources (who turned out to be the cashiers gossiping about what they supposedly heard from corporate) that Staples was ending all rebates. I was very clear at the time not to believe that rubbish until someone could actually come up with a real source. You can see the links below how people were actually believing this nonsense. The moral is, don't believe rumors unless there is a real source to it, not just people posting on fatwallet.

It was true, until the merger with OD was overruled by the FTC.

Good try, but the first link posted on October 31, links to a post by reddit who says "My GM said sometime in the next couple weeks small rebates (e.g. Paper) will go away, then followed by laptops etc." The FTC didn't announce until March 10 that they were going to block the deal. March 10 is a lot more than "a couple of weeks" after October 31.

It is clear that the ending rebates false rumor had nothing to do with merger. It had to do with typical naysayers who like to stir up trouble and get everyone upset about nothing.

Why did I not believe the rumors? Because we had just come out of the J.C. Penney fiasco ending sales and the Joseph A. Bank trying to end deals fiasco. It was very clear to any CEO that trying to end deals that you have been doing for years all of a sudden would be a disaster. You didn't need a business degree to see that.

I'm happy the rumors were wrong.

Thanks OP - trying to stay on top of my rewards!

Oh by the way. Let's conveniently forget the fact evident for anyone that cared to look that very specific test market stores in Ohio had ended rebates for months in order to test the feasibility of eliminating rebates. Guess that doesn't come into play as a means to gage whether Staples was testing the waters about eliminating rebates? Guess that wasn't a REAL source. Who the heck cares at this point. They tested the waters and Staples decided that people didn't hate rebates as much as their researched showed. Time to move on.

They may have been testing the waters... but that's far and away a different story from what we were hearing.  I heard time and again that people had it direct from Staples corp, or managers, or whatever, that rebates were being phased out.  Not testing or waiting on the OD/OM merger, but done for, period.  I didn't make much of it then or now, if it happens it happens.  Still, some one was misinformed and spreading rumors.

Just tried to cash out a few SER Visa cards at WM. They didn't work (following procedure that worked before). Has anyone done this lately?

Yes for the Vanilla Visa
Haven't tried converting the Staples labelled Visa GC into cash.
