The Dr. Brown bottles have many parts to clean and are pricey, but they are well liked by baby and mom.

To be frugal, I suggest you skip any 2 oz or 4 oz bottles, and seek out only 8 oz Dr. Brown bottles that will use the same nipple system for Level 1 0-3mo, Level 2 3-6mo, Level 3 6-9mo, and Level 4 9+ months.  The 8 oz bottles are marked by the ounce, so you can use it even for 2 ounce formular mixing and feedings.

2 ounce bottles will be quickly outgrown.  8 ounce bottles together with Level 1 nipples is the frugal way to go.
