Keep in mind that this is not a .02 micron filter and does not filter out all living organisms. It is intended to be used in normally pristine water sources, such as mountain streams fed by natural reservoirs that are filtered by nature.

EDIT: MFGR web site lists: rivers, streams and puddles.  Puddles, NOT PONDS! That's a life or death typo...
