Good Deal

I just got back from a RC cruise. It was really great - I definitely recommend it.

Good deal but don't forget that 3rd and 4th are in the same room. It's a wee bit cramped in there.

But....it's on the Empress.

  Which one is the Empress?

rated:
Empress is the smallest boat in the fleet. It was specifically outfitted for trips to Cuba, but they had issues with the A/C when it was first relaunched and was killed by travel reviewers and they are literally giving cruises away on this ship. I am a VIP member of the casino royale and they sent out free trips through January in ocenview cabins. Don't forget to add about $110 per person for taxes and port fees

Anyone know if the A/C issue is fixed.

i was on Oasis of the Seas a week ago, which was massive. I could see some advantages with a smaller ship.

And the tip.

Been burned twice with Empress cruises. I've done close to 50 cruises on Royal Caribbean (some of those on their Celebrity brand), and was looking forward to a cruise on Empress right out of the 2016 refurb. Royal cancelled a week before the cruise, and their handling of it and compensation was bare minimum. Rescheduled for a month later. They cancelled that one four days prior. Crusing on Empress has cost me a lot of money already and I've yet to set foot on it.

Nice deal but too far for me. Wish something would be out of New Orleans or Galveston and have a good deal on it

Would be hard as RC doesn't go there.

Just as a suggestion to the OP, it might be helpful to put in the port for the deal (in this case, Miami) in the subject.

Yes they do.   Just not with that ship.  I have cruised out of Galveston on other RC ships and have a friend that cruised out of NOLA on RC.

Hmm I just checked the sheets and didn't see any RC going out of Galveston, I did see Carnival and Norwegian and Crystal but not RC.

Save another $75 off $350 if your Amex account has the RCL offer.  I have three Amex cards with this offer and saved $225 on a different Royal cruise for next summer.

You can find much better deals at CruiseSheet.com all the time. Here are the best short cruises from Florida:
https://cruisesheet.com/?from=Florida&max_days=7
Those include taxes, so for $20 less you can get a 5 day cruise and only have two people per cabin instead of four. RCL does the actual billing even if you book through CruiseSheet, so the Amex offer still applies.
