DetailsGet a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $50+ in one or more transactions online at Sears.com by 12/31/2016. See terms for exclusions.
TermsOffer valid only on Sears.com. Not valid in-store. Valid only on US website. Includes purchases via merchant mobile app. Purchases made online for in-store pickup are excluded. See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas. Enrollment limited. Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem. Limit 1 statement credit(s) per American Express® Card across all American Express offer channels. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/2016, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: CEKA:0001

Think outside of the box.

Buy Sears GCs online using AMEX offer.

Use aforementioned GCs in store.

or

Order online for in-store pickup.
Pay with aforementioned GCs.

Anyone try the Gift Card Mall ones through Sears.com? Did you get a validation email?

Can we still buy non-Sears gift cards using Sears gift cards?

<strike> Ebates is giving 8% cashback at Sears today.</strike>    EDIT :   oh, sorry never mind that, gift cards are excluded from cash back.   Maybe other cash back sites don't exclude it.. ?

I bought a Sears email gift card with my linked Amex and got the Amex validation email within minutes.

edit2 : ~2 hours later I get a "we are reviewing your order" email.   might just be routine fraud prevention on their part.

Be careful when buying gift cards. I bought a $50 physical gift card and it was fulfilled by Kmart.com, so no $10.

I was able to purchase an electronic gift card (via email) and that worked.

Doesn't that get done through a 3rd party? How did it know it was through Sears.com?

What kind of electronic gift card did you buy?  A Sears gift card?

Better spend those gift cards quickly. Their shelves are bare and the company is taking on a lot of debt.

Shelves are bare because it is CHRISTMAS Season...

Everybody claims that Sears / Kmart is going out of business every year... heck, even I did a few years.

Sears has craftsman and Kenmore, and there are plenty of people dedicated to those brands, keeping them afloat....

Back on topic... doesn't shoprunner deliver Sears for free?  If so, lots of you SHOULD still have shorunner accounts (heck, even Amex offers a trial)...

Thanks.  I also purchased a Sears eGC and received confirmation from Amex.
In fact, something held up the eGC processing and I received the Amex confirmation before I received the eGC.
