This is a very good laptop. Will probably get it.

I'm thinking of it too. Interesting that the i5 (it's in the next thread over when I searched FW for "laptop", don't know if they were posted together) has much worse reviews. Hoping it was a fluke. This one has three 1* reviews but they don't seem like showstoppers.

BTW 1% cashback from EB or TCB (they say "up to 6%" but PCs are down at 1%).

[added: I will say some of the specs on this seem a little dated, it's 6th gen CPU, 1xUSB3 & 2xUSB2, but I think it's still a good deal. I just started looking because my ThinkPad is dying, and I'm seeing more 7th gen CPUs and multiple USB3 ports. But there's no ThinkPad in this price range so I'm giving it a shot.

Does MS Store have a return policy just for not liking it?]

Amazon has it for $428 ~~Dell Inspiron i5559-4682SLV 15.6 Inch FHD Touchscreen Signature Edition Laptop

Which one is better this Dell or HP currently sell on bjs http://www.bjs.com/hp-15-laptop--intel-core-i7--8gb-memory--1tb-... ?

FWIW, the Amazon for $428 is an i5-6200U CPU, the Microsoft for $479 is an i7-6500U. Whether it's worth $51 more is up to the user, but when I was looking at configuring ThinkPads, just to go from i5-6200U to i5-6300U is a $49.50 extra charge (their only i7 is i7-6600U for $200 more so not a fair comparison).

I would say the Dell without question, the HP is $500 (so more expensive), its 15.6" screen is 1366x768 (which is obviously inferior, but to me it's unacceptable), and its screen is not touch (which I don't consider a big selling point in a conventional notebook, but it's still something). Don't know about any other differences but why pay $20 extra (vs MS Store) for such a mediocre screen resolution? And MS Store offers a 2yr warranty (so 1 extra year) for $99 including accidents. Maybe BJ's includes that like Costco with TVs.

They seem pretty much the same otherwise. Or am I missing something?
