Very nice winter coat with 850 goose down at REI at better than half price for $370. This is $572 on Amazon.  Have not seen this price all year. Free shipping.

And despite the high cost, Arc’teryx products are built extremely well and should last as long as anything on the market. - See more at: http://www.switchbacktravel.com/best-winter-jackets#sthash.L0135... 8.4 ounces of 850-fill goose down, this is a supremely cozy winter down jacket that still weighs under 2 pounds total and packs down small. Great deal since the lowest I paid was $523. This jacket is far too warm for use  while under heavy exertion. However, before strolling above treeline on a windy ridge, the pack opens up and this comes out. Its also works as a  great "life preserver" if you have a spend an unplanned night out.
