http://www.microcenter.com/product/469984/Barracuda_4TB_35_Hard_Drive_-_OEM

Drive model is ST4000DM005

Best price I've seen for a bare drive. External drives are sometimes cheaper, but you void the warranty if you extract the HDD from the enclosure.

This is not a performance drive, so don't threadcrap based on that. This is just a basic drive that will probably be used for storing video files and backups.

I had to check around on the segate site. I found that it is not 7,200 rpm

step #1) zoom on the Box on MC's site
step #2) read serial number off box
step #3) enter serial number on this page: https://apps1.seagate.com/downloads/request.html
step #4) ask a seagate rep to see if this is wrong

Don't forget this is Seagate, the shitties of drives.  I wouldn't buy it just based on that (unless it was for a Raid6/RaidZ2 storage server).

Also no Zero G Sensor?  How am I going to use this when I bring my server with me to Mars?

4TB is a lot of video files and backups to loose, after all this is a Seagate.

Seagate DM00X series had one of the worst failure rates according to Back Blaze,

Don't buy it
