Or, buy one for $1.89 shipped:
www.ebay.com/itm/222472163914

Or, if you're really a high-roller, splurge on an LED display for $4.48:
www.ebay.com/itm/152465688000

Either way, it's cheaper than the one with a verizon logo painted on it...

Those eBay items are shipped from China (3 to 5 weeks) and no warranty.  OP is national retailer (2 day ship) and 1 year warranty.

You don't pay for it directly, but the tax payer is footing the bill for those Chinese shipments to come in so cheap. How is it costs more for me to ship within the USA, than it is for some bozo in China to ship to me overseas? someone is paying for it, and it isn't China.

If my mobile phone only needs 1.0 Amp, would 4.8 Amp hurt it or help it?

Your phone (and any electronic) will drain what it needs and not a bit more. So if the charger is putting out 4.8A, your phone will draw 1A and that's it.

The only thing you have to worry about ever is volts. So if your phone needs a 5v charging source, whatever you charge it with you gotta make sure it's 5v. Same rule applies to other stuff - volts must always match what you're charging it with. If you wish to read more about it, you can do so here

Thanks, guess I'm a high roller.  Verizon was too picky with PO boxes.
