Note that while this drone is certainly compact, it does not included a remote control transmitter with physical joysticks, but instead works just off wifi transmissions from your smartphone. This means that it does not have any sort of tactile feedback but instead uses two-dimensional "joysticks" displayed on your phone's screen. I would think this would make it harder to fly than a drone with a real transmitter. Also, the drone's camera will be transmitting on the same 2.4gHz frequency as the phone's wifi, which will result in a shorter range, probably no more than 30m or thereabouts.

For anyone thinking about getting a drone, I'd recommend spending a few hours watching some video reviews on YouTube - there are dozens if not hundreds of drone channels with thousands of good video reviews. In particular, if you are looking for a camera drone with a decent image quality, check out the video reviews, which usually will show some video footage from the drone's camera. You will find that a lot of the "2mp/720p" cameras are really .3mp and a lot of the "1080p" cameras, at least in the ranks of toy drones (usually under $120-$200, as opposed to hobby-class drones which are more expensive, use brushless motors, have longer ranges, etc...) are actually running 720p or even 480p video.

I think the best drone review channels are:

- Quadcopter 101
- TheRCSaylors
- Dustin Dunnill
- Frequent Flyer RC
- Soul Force Quads
- Ready Set Drone
