Alaska = Alaska Airlines?

OW  = One way?

What is the point of this post?  I don't get what you are trying to say here.

Alaska Airlines has the most nonstop flights from the mainland US to Hawaii, Seattle is their hub. United is making similar attempts at other Alaska Airlines Hawaii gateways (such as SAN) to compete with 1 (and in some cases 2) stops. Alaska is not matching fares at this time, does not appear to be too concerned. Much more convenient to avoid the connection, considered it useful to compare fares, thought others might find the information useful.

Not nonstop.Goes through San Francisco for at least one stop. Alaska, Delta and Hawaiian have nonstop flights ... but are more expensive. But nonstops are about six hours flight time while United is minimum 8-9 hours.

  According to Google Flights, $362 United is the cheapest flight until Apr 2018
Yes it's $100 less because of the extra stop and 3 extra hours in the air.

I think you are fudging those numbers to get a $250 fly on Alaska.

What's really odd?  The stop is SFO, to fly from SFO to HNL on the same plane is $100 more.

  Maybe the TSA guys earn more in SFO so the 'terminal fee' is higher

  Quite common for nonstop from fortress hub to cost more than a connecting flight when there is competition involved.

Good deal, but I'm thinking travel deals should be in Travel Discussion. Less than a fraction of 1% can take advantage of this deal (would be different if the deal was not limited to flying out of Seattle).
