Does anybody know if two 50 ft 15 Amp cords joined to make 100 ft would still be rated 15 Amp?  I need a 100 ft 15 Amp cord and trying to figure out if costco cords will serve my purpose.  Thanks.

It looks like they'd need to be 10 guage for 15 AMPS.

My question would be, does it matter if the outlets in my house are wired with  14 or 16 guage wire?

Hmmm.. interesting...the Home Depot cord is 12 guage but rated 15 amp.  The outlet i plan to use is on 20 amp circuit, so i am assuming that it would be wired for that and it'd b ok if i plug in a 15 amp snow blower with a 15 amp rated cord.

Yes, I believe the building code for a 20A outlet requires 12 Gauge wiring, while 15A outlets can use 14 Gauge wiring.
