Have you ever tried to order through Alexa (Echo)? It's a nightmare! She doesn't understand what you want, she offers items that don't even remotely match what you need, you spend a lot of time trying to make sure she understands and you get a lot of "...is xxxx what you want?" and stuff like that. A nightmare.

If anyone disputes this and can offer or direct to quick instructions, would be most grateful...

Maybe a deal killer for some ... (1) be an Amazon Prime member that has never made a reorder with Alexa Voice Shopping

I am...and haven't for the reasons above.

This was great... to the people who mentioned problems ordering with Alexa, I think this is different...

At first I tried "order ..." with two keywords and as mentioned Alexa gave two or three items that had nothing to do with what I wanted... it did not use order history or the keyword matching did not work.

When I used "reorder X" where "X" was the first few words from the exact product name in my order history then it explicitly said, based on your order history, do you mean...

So 1, try "reorder" not "order" as the command for this deal.

2. Use the prefix of the actual product description... this may or may or may not be as helpful depending on the product naming!!! YMMV

Hope that helps. Great deal Thank you to OP!

Worked fine for me.

The Amazon promo page had a suggestion item from my order history which worked on the first try.

Nothing in my order history that was (shipped & sold by Amazon.Com LLC) that I want to reorder..
Guess I support mostly 3rd party vendors..

Great deal but darn near impossible. There are only a few things I'd want to reorder over $10 and I can't get Alexa to "find" them from my order history no matter what I try. After 10 mins I give up - may not be worth the frustration of wanting to hurl Alexa out the window lol

Good to know OP.

I had a physical $25 Amazon gift card order from around Black Friday (it must have been some BF deal) and I just reordered a $25 Amazon gc that will arrive tomorrow.  I didn't see any exclusion for reordering gift cards but there are exclusions for the use of the $10 credit toward purchasing gift cards.

must be a "physical product"  is a GC is a physical product

They are mailing me a black gc in a red gift box tomorrow.  If it doesn't apply for the promotion I end up with something I can use.
Also, when I asked Alexa to "reorder an Amazon gift card" it replied with "Amazon gift card twenty-five dollars.  $25.  Would you like to buy it?"

edit:  added more details above.

My order went through without a hitch or stumble.  Quick instructions?  Terminate any other noise source and speak clearly.

Just did it. As described above. Said: reorder "description of product" and it confirmed the product and asked if I wanted to reorder it. Super super easy!

Many of us prime members don't like the whole Alexa boondoggle as Amazon fumbles and stumbles wasting money that causes overall prices to rise. Every month they come out with buttons, assistants, apps, and devices that aren't going to keep us shopping there. It's going to piss off many of the oldest customers who aren't getting the discounts or good prices.

Worked for me. Weirdly was more than $10...

Dash Wand Promotion:
-$11.97

Unless... crap, was that the $20 promo?

The buttons are pretty popular, from what I hear.  Apps are a mixed bag, I use Alexa mainly as a music stream device using a "skill."  This promotion did work, this was the first time I have ever ordered.  It also failed as the voice order just replaced an order I usually make at my PC.

It works better if you buy consumables, obviously.  In my case I ordered Red Bull.  There are a few items like cat litter that I prefer Amazon for -- the brand and type I prefer is a major brand but it isn't widely carried.

  What was left of it...

Whew, I did get an email after that...

Thank you for making your first reorder with Alexa. As a thank you, a $10 credit will be applied when you check out with an eligible item on Amazon.com. Item must be sold by Amazon.com. Your credit expires on July 1, 2018.*

It's been 2 days and I haven't received any email notification my $25 physical gift card purchased qualified for the $10 credit so it looks like it didn't qualify.
