Chinese knockoffs sold by a buying agent who made up retail prices out of thin air. The watches cost on average $3 each to make and the company makes a tidy profit on shipping. The company's "about us" page features a photo of "a street very close to our office," meaning they rent a 1-room office in the cheap part of town five miles away, and they rent warehouse space in California so it's cheap for them to receive shipping containers full of shitty off-brand watches.

Have I left anything out?

These watches would be a dubious value if shipping was free too.

I put 20 in my cart and they wanted $200 for shipping

Great deal for watches you can buy at a flea market for $10. <NOT!>

They don't even cost $3. I pick these kinds of watches up for the grandkids for less than $2 retail in China.
