Was not really looking for a welder just yet, but saw this at lowes and had to pick it up.

Lowes is phasing out the older Lincoln Pro MIG 140 welders and have them yellow tagged for 366.00. I have seen this at the 3 lowes within my area. But they are out of them and only have the newer designed Pro MIG 140 welders in stock without any shelf tags, which go for 524.00, both on their site and when they scan the barcode on the box. So after they scan the welder and it comes up at 524.00, you tell them that the item was 366.00 with a yellow tag on the shelf. They will have someone do a price check and verify that the Pro MIG 140 is yellow tagged at 366.00 and to override the scanned price. YMMV on this. Going at night helps since people are just lazier, and also using the lumber checkout, the one far away from the others helps too because of laziness factor of comparing item #'s.

The item #'s are different, but they usually won't check those, and since Lowes does not have the correct tags on their shelves yet, it works.

Old welder is model#: K2498-1

New welder is model#: K2470

Use a 10% coupon for additional discount. I did not bother.

My OTD price was 399 after tax. Not a hot deal, but better than paying 524. plus tax.

Very Good deal w/Gas Regulator and Hose for use with CO2 or argon blend gases.

Use YMMV HF coupon for 20% off (google)

I picked one up today. I'm going to go back later to use the coupon.

The new model at my Lowes was K2480-1 for some reason. Anybody know the difference?
