Nano I think is what I want. But on Amazon there are "plain box" ones with generic accessories that are cheaper but what is their story? Used? Refurb? Stolen? We don't care about the earbuds because we have ones that we like and would use them. I'm inclined to pay full price but my guy wants a deal,.What is your advices, please? I have an iPod cheapie (what is that one called? the clip-in one) that I use and it's fine.

A quick read of the reviews would scare me away from this one. Yikes.

Yeah, I see that except the bad reviews are naming a different seller. Maybe the seller has multiple entities?

Not worth $50 for all the hassle of getting some knockoff.
Since Apple keeps prices fixed, just find a retailer with the best % off on gift cards online and buy it there.

Thanks, that is what I think I have resigned this transaction to as well - it's a "craft your best deal" scenario. I was hoping that Target would do a gc with purchase but I haven't seen it for iPod, probably because the price is too low to be able to offer an enticing gc amount. Also I don't need one, just thought it would be fun to have one. He needs one for an upcoming trip, partly for business use.

For anyone else in my shopping predicament, Target has 10% off on Electronics today only using the code TECH. I hope what I ordered is Gen 7 because the gray only is $117.99 so I ordered with 2% ebates for store pickup. I set it up for the Target location near Costco because I'm headed there shortly. Did 2 separate orders in case my guy wants to try to wait for a better price. Fingers xd.
