i deal with business development people quite a bit. and i use to do quite a bit of it myself in my old position. one tip i would have is that you don't have to be selling all the time. i had lunch with a guy who wouldn't stop. i think some of these people just don't know when to hold back and only have one mode. that's too bad because i already know plenty about your company and the product you are selling.
