There have been 2 schools of thought this morning on sports radio.

1. His lawyer said there was a good chance he'd get out on appeal of his third murder(first conviction, life w/o parole) after beating the rap on the first two murders. Local reporter, however, questioned his sexuality on the radio on Monday, it got to the prison population and made his life unbearable in there, so he hanged himself this morning.
2. He's a sociopath and once this trial was over, there was no more fame/infamy, it finally sunk in that he's never getting out, and hanged himself this morning.

Fee bad for the 3 people had to die at his hands and their families before he got the message this morning.  Too bad that his unindicted co-conspirator fiance Shayna Jenkins wasn't arrested for her actions covering up the third murder.  Feel bad for his daughter, who has to grow up knowing her father killed 3 people and her mother went along with it.

Saving the taxpayer millions in future incarceration costs and without a messy death penalty case, that's a win win.

Amen! Glad to save MY tax money.

Now if only OJ would follow his lead.

Comments online this morning:

He died doing what he loved.
New tack for NFL players, suspend yourself before Goodell gets around to it.
Say what you may about Aaron Hernandez, at least he killed Aaron Hernandez.
Looks like his life sentence wasn't all that bad.

I think it also sunk in that he probably didn't need to kill Odin Lloyd. As he only killed him thinking he was going to snitch on Aaron about the two previous murders, which Aaron didn't get convicted of.

  But wasn't he acquitted?

I dont think there's a font size big enough for the * that goes next to his acquittal.

Lost the civil trial for decapitating his ex-wife and a friend in 1994. Convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery, weapons charges in 2007, serving a 33 year sentence, eligible for parole later this year.

He's another candidate who should volunteer to save taxpayer money.

A win-win for taxpayers, yes.

For Odin Lloyd, Safiro Furtado, Daniel de Abreu, and their families, not so much.

OK but OJ was a pretty nice guy otherwise, in comparison.

He was abusive to his wife and decapitated 2 people, including her. He's only a nice guy if killing 2 instead of 3 people is nice.

  Allegedly.

It wasn't allegedly to the second jury.  Hope you weren't fooled by the "if it don't fit, you must acquit" silliness.

Patriots released their first injury report for the 2017 season: Aaron Hernandez (neck injury) out indefinitely

NFL central office in NY has clarified a ruling by the officials:  The ruling on the field stands.  Mr. Hernandez did not get both feet on the ground in time.

...and here I thought it was only Falcons who choked at the last minute

I bet he was upset the Patriots got to visit the White House on Wednesday but he was stuck in jail.

A simple tweet says it all..

"Aaron Hernandez: Drafted at 20. Multimillionaire at 22. Convicted of murder at 25. Dead at 27."

Definitely puts things into perspective. Wasted life and talent. And he had opportunities, just decided to flush them all down the toilet.

He was a millionaire. He played for Patriots. He was getting coached by Bill Belichick. He got paid by Robert Kraft.
I guess you can remove the thug from the hood.. but you cannot remove the hood from the thug.
It's a shame.. for his family, for the families of the people he killed.
I'm extremely happy though that the douchebag killed himself.

Now his attorney is talking about getting the murder conviction vacated under some obscure common law principle where if you die before you exhaust all your appeals, the conviction is vacated.

rated:
I'd rather his the money go to the families of his three murder victims, but if the conviction is vacated, hopefully the lawyers keep up the billable hours, that'd be less going to his dirt bag fiancee; maybe she'll have to actually get a job other than disposing of evidence and lying to juries. She still won't get his Patriots bonus back, his gun conviction keeps that from happening.

Weird thing is the jury in his second murder trial convicted him of having an illegal gun when he murdered his first two victims, but found him not guilty of the murders. What did they think he did with the gun when Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu were shot?

That must have been the plan all along. Another victory for slimy lawyer.

A judge vacated his conviction today. It's like he never killed anyone. What a mockery our judicial system is of our judicial system.

OJ acquitted *

Aaron Hernandez didn't murder anyone *
