Saw an article on eCommerce Bytes of the same title and thought it was an interesting read.
Just wondered if anybody here had any similar experiences that they would care to share.
I sold an old Mid 60's era Polaroid instant film camera to Industrial Light & Magic (George Lucas) no doubt to be used as a movie prop in some future film of his as you cant buy the instant film anymore but it still worked as far as flash if you had the battery's and flashbulbs in it.

I also sold 1 item that went to a museum in New York.  It was a rather large tray from the 1964 Worlds Fair there.
No doubt to put on display I imagine as it was in pristine condition.

I've sold a few things to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY, and to other less notable museums. I've sold to movie set dressers 4 or 5 times (I still need to waste 2 hours of my life watching The Huntsman: Winter's War to spot the Persian art I sold them). I've sold to some household name actors.

There's a theme with movie set dressers, they seem always seem disorganized and have too much money to spend "can you overnight me that giant thing?" $ure, I say.

There are companies still making some just sad Polaroid film. It's very much a speciality item nowadays, but if anyone would have it or know where to get it, freestyle.
