Glen Campbell’s warm tenor, good-natured persona and knack for selecting songs such as “Wichita Lineman,” “By The Time I Get To Phoenix,” and “Rhinestone Cowboy” made him a star,
and for a good run of years in the ’60s and ’70s he was one of the biggest, with his musical career branching out into television and film for a spell.  Glen died August 8, 2017 at 81 (1936-2017) after years of suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

I remember watching a TV show on him a couple years ago on CNN. They documented his Alzheimer's and final tour. The touring part was painful to watch. He was going off script as the band tried to keep playing. RIP.

his last album was aptly named "adios," as it were. apparently, in his final days he wasn't aware he had won a grammy. leaves much to think about, IMO

ETA: RIP

I saw that too.  It seemed like the family was trying to keep the gravy train running as long as possible.  Pretty gross.

It was so nice that James Gunn included Southern Nights in the GotG V2 soundtrack.
