I received a money order (TravelersExpress MoneyGram International Money Order) from a buyer.

On the front, it says "Purchaser, Signer for Drawer: Purchaser, by signing you agree to the service charge and other terms on the reverse side." On the back, it says "Purchaser's Agreement: You, the purchaser, agree to immediately complete this Money Order by filling in the front of the Money Order signing, and addressing it at the bottom. The terms of this Money Order bind you, your heirs, or others who receive this Money Order from you." I thought the buyer should have signed, but he didn't.

I called the issuer bank (Travelers Express Company), the fund is available, but the lady won't say much about this signature thing. She just said if my bank would take it, then there shouldn't be a problem. I also called my bank, and they said the signature is for the buyer to agree the terms of the money order, and it wouldn't affect me.

This is the first time I've dealt with a money order from an eBay buyer, and this signature thing kinda worries me. I searched around but didn't see it discussed earlier. Shall I mail it back to the buyer for a signature, or just deposit it?

sign it and move on with your life.

Thanks, colebert!

Buyer A sent me a MO ($60) (FSNB) without my name in the Pay to column and also without the address of the remitter .This looks like it was printed on laser paper.

Buyer B sent me a MO ($1.00) (Western Union) without his signature as well as purchasers info missing. He sent me his purchase portion on the stub too.

What should I be doing ?

somebody please reply !

Buyer A: Call the issuing bank to verify its authenticity. Phone number should be on the MO.

Buyer B: Who cares? It's a buck for heaven's sake. Cash it and move on.
