I routinely have been sending text messages to cell phones via Yahoo email but yesterday they failed with "550 relaying denied" given in the system response. Anyone else here use email to send text messages?
BTW, I successfully used Excite email to send the text message.
If you send from winmail or Yahoo mail just find the right suffix for the provider and know your friend's number and you're set.
If someone can add to this please do. I send txts occasionally so it's 'good to know'
ie a lookup for each carrier's prefix ie 209.334.xxxx should only belong to one carrier for every case xxxx
Right or not?

Mine aren't working either since late december and it's worked for years. It's a pain because my mom uses it to text me.

It is working again. I don't know if there were complaints and they changed it, or if it was a problem that was fixed, but the issue the OP and I were having for several days has been resolved.
It was a huge pain!
