I've noticed while browsing some websites that I get this message:

The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator.

I pasted that into Google, and see a bunch of matches to other sites that do, or have, returned such a message. But I can't find any info on what it means. I've tried looking at Microsoft's sites and McAfee Virus, and still can't find info, thinking it may be a virus of some sort.

Any ideas??

One more thing to add is when I paste into YAHOO "The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator," a plurality, if not a majority, of the matches seem to be sites related to healthcare. Why just them? I'm confused.

Run AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy

Which websites returned this error message? Are you on a company network with web filters?

I'm at home using my ISP.

I see a lot on ***.va.gov sites and sites related to the Charleston Area Medical Center. I'm starting to think it may have to do with their web gateways, rather than problems with web servers.

If you have a custom HOSTS file on your PC, like the one from Mike Burgess, it may be blocking sites or pages that contain Adware or Spyware links. That can be a good thing, till it blocks you from getting to sites you want to see.

I use that custom HOSTS file myself and install it for any and all of my customers where children use the family PC. It blocks thousands of BAD sites, including many/most Porn sites.

Just a thought!
