The husband and I are looking to book a vacation rental in the outer banks, North Carolina area for May 1st - 25th.

So far the only luck I have had is looking on and and it's sorta overwelming with the amount of different places you can stay and where to get the best deal.

It seems like Duck and Nags Head are the main places to stay.

Does anyone have some tips on how to get some good discounts since we are staying for so long?

Thanks so much

The farther you get from Nags Head and Kitty Hawk, the less people and things to do will be near you.

About a decade ago I stayed in Pine Island between Corolla and Duck. No cell service (I imagine that's changed) and quiet. Most houses have a pool if the Ocean temperature isn't to your liking.

I stay at Pine Island also.  Good Cell reception now
